Our History
To establish and maintain multi-use trails in central Arkansas that are open to mountain bikers and to link all trail users for this purpose.
In early 2014, a collective of hikers, trail runners, and mountain bikers recognized a growing need for organized stewardship in the region. This led to the formal establishment of the Central Arkansas Trail Alliance (CATA), a 501(c)3 non-profit dedicated to the maintence and development of local unsurfaced trails in Little Rock, Arkansas and the the surrounding areas.
As an official Chapter of the International Mountain Bicycling Association (IMBA), CATA was founded with a clear mission:To establish and maintain multi-use trails in central Arkansas that are open to mountain bikers and to link all trail users for this purpose.
For over a decade, CATA has united the trail community to ensure Central Arkansas remains a premier destination for mountain biking and outdoor recreation! We done all this while following International Mountain Bicycling Association (IMBA) guidelines for sustainable trail building.
